Yes, but not on a home printer. Desk mats are printed with dye sublimation, which bonds the ink into a polyester fabric top, so they’re made by print shops with heat presses.

That’s about 10% narrower than the 35.4 in (900 mm) gaming mats some brands sell, so measure your desk if you want the mat to run its full width. The diagram above is to scale.

A 3 mm neoprene base with a dye-sublimated polyester top, sewn (overlocked) edges and an anti-slip underside.

Dye sublimation puts the color into the fabric rather than on top of it, so the print won’t peel or crack, and the sewn edges stop it from fraying.

Spot clean it with lukewarm water, a little mild soap and a soft cloth, then let it air dry flat before you use it again.

Blot spills right away so they don’t soak in. Don’t put it in the washing machine or the dryer, and skip bleach and hard scrubbing, which can fade the print and wear the sewn edges.

Printing them would infringe someone else’s copyright or trademark. If your idea includes one, the designer will tell you, and you can describe the vibe instead, like “neon street racing at night” or “a cozy fantasy village”.
